Hello! My name is Ashleigh Clark, and I am a proud dog trainer at Pet Suites Lawrenceville. Since I was kid, working with and learning about dogs has been my passion. I love these so much, I ended up volunteering for Clover Run Rescue 10 hours a week for 3 years and went to summer camps such as the Charleston Animal Society Advanced Vet Camp during middle school. I now have two dogs of my own, both of which I train in my free-time. One of them, Nebula the Keeshond, I have trained since she was a puppy and now do all kinds of things with her. For instance, she loves running and training for fast-cat races and learning tricks for the “Do More With Your Dog” specialty title. We have also enjoyed earning the Novice Trick Dog (TKN) title, and are looking forward to earning the next level soon. Also, for the past 2 years, we have been working as a team in Agility, honing both of our skills to increase our effectiveness and our bond. We often take private lessons to learn even more, and I enjoy signing up for various classes to perfect my method. I have also taken courses provided by the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy to understand Nebula and Agility more. Because I want to further my understanding of dogs, including the how's and why's of the ways they behave, I am always looking for opportunities such as the Animal Psychology/Animal Behavior Certification that I have recently earned to achieve this goal. All in all, in order to become a better trainer for my own dogs, my Agility Career, and for my clients, I am always striving to discover and teach the best methods to train dogs to their full potential.
